Love ice cream? Love “Harry Potter”? If yes, then we’ve got great news for you: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood has a new ice cream joint! You can get your frozen fix at the new Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream, a new dessert counter at Honeydukes. Florean Fortescue’s has been a staple at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida for years. And I, for one, am thrilled to welcome these delicious frozen treats to the West Coast. The new soft-serve counter is officially open for business!
Florean Fortescue’s serves 10 flavors of soft serve, including Butterbeer (thank goodness), Chocolate, Orange, Toffee Nut, Pistachio, Banana, Mint, Vanilla, Granny Smith Apple and Toffee Apple. And did I mention it has Butterbeer ice cream? In any case, let me repeat that: Butterbeer soft-serve ice cream. If you enjoy Butterbeer in a stein, just wait ‘til you try it in a waffle cone. The soft serve has a vanilla base with a flavor ribbon of Butterbeer, to make a perfect swirl of wizarding world deliciousness.
As mentioned, the new dessert counter is situated inside Honeydukes, and will open in early April, and is a permanent addition to Universal Studios Hollywood. It’ll surely become one of our new must-dos in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Plus, Gold and Platinum Annual Pass Members will get a discount here.
What’s more, the opening coincides with the first annual Butterbeer Season! This six-week celebration of all things Butterbeer is running now through April 30, 2024. Throughout the season, you can expect fun Butterbeer-related goodies available for purchase, including adorable silver Butterbeer steins.
